Valen Hire Marketing Exec

Valen Technologies, a publisher of on-demand predictive modeling software for the property and casualty insurance industry, reported Wednesday that it has hired David West as senior vice president of marketing. The Denver-based firm said West will report to Dax Craig, the company’s chief executive officer, and will direct its corporate and product marketing strategies and staff. Most recently, Valen noted, West was research area director of TowerGroup's insurance practice. Before that, he held various senior management and technical positions at SAS Institute Inc., Valen said, adding that, earlier in his career, he spent 12 years with the Prudential Insurance Co. of America.
