Limelight Names New CFO

Internet content delivery specialist Limelight Networks Inc. reported Wednesday that it has assigned Douglas Lindroth to the role of chief financial officer. The Tempe, Ariz.-based business said the 41-year-old Lindroth has served as a board member since February but will give up his seat to accept the CFO job. Limelight added that it will immediately begin searching for an independent director to replace Lindroth on the board. Prior to joining Limelight Networks, the company noted, Lindroth was a general partner with the Bayview Investment Co. He also held various positions at Memec Group Holdings Ltd., Limelight said, and he currently sits on the board of BakBone Software Inc., a publisher of data backup and recovery software for which he briefly served as CFO in 2007.
