Safari Books Opens Arizona Office

Safari Books Online, a provider of an online IT book reference service, said Tuesday that the firm has selected Tempe, Arizona for a new telesales and support office. According to the firm, the new office will be part of its direct sales channel, and marks the foundation for expansion of the firm's national operations. The number of employees at the new office were not announced. Safari Books Online provides online access to reference titles in the area of technology, software programming, and other areas; the firm is backed by O'Reilly Media and others. The new office will be headed by Mike Conner, who is the firm's VP Telesales. Conner was most recently at Landiscor Aerial Information in Phoenix.
