RouteSmith Acquired By Wisconsin Firm
Denver, Colorado-based RouteSmith, a provider of software for optimizing driver routes for deliveries, has been acquired by Wisconsin-based Runzheimer International. Financial terms were not disclosed. According to Runzheimer, Matt DeWolfe, co-founder of the firm, will join Runzheimer International as Director of New Product Develompent. Jeff Smith, former Managing Director of RouteSmith and the other co-founder of the firm, becomes Development Manager with Runzheimer. According to Runzheimer International, RouteSmith will remain based in Denver, and become a satellite location of Runzheimer. DeWolfe and Smith started RouteSmith in 2004 as a side project, and scored angel funding in early 2006.
