LifeLock to Offer Discounted Service to AAA Carolinas

LifeLock, a provider of personal data security services, announced earlier this week that the AAA Carolinas Motor Club, a regional affiliate of the American Automobile Association, will offer its members discounted identity theft protection thanks to a new deal with LifeLock. The financial impact of the agreement was not disclosed. AAA Carolinas provides its 1.6 million members in North Carolina and South Carolina with travel, insurance, financial and automotive-related services and discounts. For less than $8 per month per member, LifeLock said it will set and renew fraud alerts with major credit card bureaus and remove AAA member names from pre-approved credit card offers and junk mail lists. LifeLock is headquartered in Tempe, Ariz., and is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and Bessemer Venture Partners.
