Tendril CEO Gets ZigBee Chair
Tendril Inc., a publisher of networking applications for the embedded computing industry, announced Monday that Adrian Tuck, the company's chief executive officer, has been named vice-chairman of the ZigBee Alliance. The ZigBee Alliance is an association of companies that have united to develop reliable, cost-effective, low-power, wireless monitoring and control products. Its membership comprises technology providers and manufacturers from across the globe. Tendril said it has a been a Participant-level member since its founding in 2004. In early 2007, the Boulder, Colo.-based company was named to the alliance's board of directors. Tuck has been Tendril's CEO since 2006. Tendril is venture backed by Vista Ventures, Access Venture Partners, Appian Ventures, and others.
