Aegis Gets Win At Genzyme

Aegis Analytic Corp., a publisher of manufacturing process optimization software, announced Monday that biotechnology firm Genzyme has selected Aegis' platform application, Discoverant. Aegis said Genzyme will deploy Discoverant at its production facility in Geel, Belgium. The transaction’s financial impact was not disclosed. Founded in 1981, Genzyme is headquartered in Cambridge, Mass. The company employs more than 9,000 people and reported gross revenues of $3.2 billion in 2006. Based in Lafayette, Colo., Aegis Analytical Corp. develops manufacturing process management software for the life sciences industry.
