MPC Adds SAN Storage Device
Nampa, Idaho-based MPC Computers, a developer of personal computer and storage products, said today that it has launched a new data storage device. The firm said its MPC DataFrame 2112 Storage Area Network Appliance provides up to 12TB of storage in a 2U device. The new storage product is based on FalconStor's IPStor software, which is used to provide iSCSI storage capability using PC hardware. The company said that its new device supports both SATA II and SAS drives. The new hardware adds to MPC's current data storage products, which are marketed under its DataFRAME and Gateway Pro lines.
