Limelight to Deliver High-Definition Web Content

Digital media content delivery network Limelight Networks announced Tuesday that it has launched a new service that will distribute high-definition Web-based digital content. The Tempe, Ariz.-based company said its offering, called LimelightHD, allows companies and Web sites to deliver HD-quality movies, television shows, video clips and games directly to their users' Internet-connected televisions, game consoles and computers. Limelight noted that several Web entities and entertainment providers have already revealed their intentions to use the new service, including Fox Interactive Media, MSN Video, Brightcove and Rajshri.com, India's leading broadband video portal.
