Fusion-io Launches Storage Product
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Fusion-io said last night that it has launched a new product targeted at the storage area networking market. Fusion-io said that it has developed a new, NAND memory-based storage product that it says will provide high-performance, silicon-based storage for storage area networks and network attached storage. The firm is developing a product called ioDrive, which is a PCIe card which provides up to 640GB of NAND-based storage capacity. The angel-funded company said that its product will be available in Q4 of this year. Fusion-io is headed by Rick White, co-founder of Phobos.
