Limelight to Refine Microsoft's Content Delivery

Tempe, Arizona-base video content delivery network Limelight Networks Inc. revealed Thursday that it has signed a technology and services agreement with software giant Microsoft. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, Limelight said it will be responsible for helping to improve the performance, scalability and reliability of the delivery of Microsoft's online media content and services. Those items include video, music, games, software and social media across Microsoft’s global Internet properties, Limelight added. Additionally, Microsoft and Limelight will cross-license certain technologies, consider future joint-development projects and cooperate on improving their respective technology infrastructures.
