Photobucket Adds Media Search

Photobucket, an online provider of image and video hostings for users of social networking web sites, said today it has added ability to search for media as part of its image and video hosting plug-in. The firm said that the features are part of the launch of its Photobucket Media Plug-in 2.0, the firm's tool for developers of web sites. The new capability allows users to search for photos, videos, and images hosted by Photobucket. The new plugin will be available before the end of the month. Photobucket is in the midst of being acquired by Fox Interactive Media, and was founded and maintains its operations in Denver, Colorado.
