LifeLock Adds Credit Union Customer
Tempe, Arizona-based identity theft protection firm LifeLock revealed Wednesday that it has been selected to provide identity theft prevention services for Jax Federal Credit Union of Jacksonville, Fla. Venture backed LifeLock said JaxFCU requested LifeLock's expertise after private information belonging to some of the financial institution's 7,766 members found its way onto the popular Google search engine earlier this month. LifeLock said it will cover affected members for two years, providing them with fraud alerts for the three major credit bureaus, elimination of pre-approved credit offers, reduction of junk mail, periodic updates, annual credit reports and a $1 million guarantee. LifeLock is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and is venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Biltmore Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. The firm develops solutions to combat identity theft.
