NewsGator Extends RSS-Reading Capabilities to Lotus Platform

NewsGator Technologies Inc., a developer specializing in RSS software, has unveiled two new RSS readers for IBM's Lotus line of messaging and collaboration applications, NewsGator announced this week. RSS is a family of web-feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. The NewsGator Plug-In for Lotus Notes delivers RSS feed-reading capabilities within Lotus Notes versions 6.5 and higher, while the NewsGator Plug-In for Lotus Sametime grants this capability to version 7.5 of the enterprise instant-messaging client. Both plug-ins are available as options for NewsGator Enterprise Server. Headquartered in Denver, Colo., NewsGator develops RSS-reading software for end users, enterprises and online content providers.
