SCO Group Announces Q4 Results
Lindon, Utah-based The SCO Group announced its quarterly results today, saying that it had revenues of $7.3M in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2006, and a net loss of $3.7M, compared with revenues of $8.5M in the comparable quarter last year and a net loss of $3.4M. The firm said that the loss was primarily attributeable to competitive pressures on the firm's UNIX products and services. For the year, the firm reported $29.2M in revenues and a net loss of $16.6M. SCO also reported the expenses from its ongoing litigation cost the firm $2.2M in the fourth quarter for the year. SCO is a provider of Unix software, and also is engaged in a lawsuit over source code in Linux.
