Arizona Technology Council Honors Local Firms
The Arizona Technology Council, an industry group promoting Arizona's technology industry, this week awarded a number of firms and businesses in the state. The group, at the Governor's Celebration of Innovation Awards Gala earlier this week, gave awards to Phoenix-based Honeywell International, The Biodesign Institute at ASU, Tempe, Arizona-based Avnet, Mesa-based RF Code, and Tucson-based Medipacs; along with individuals Bob Hagen, of the Southern Arizona Technology Council-SATC and Gene Holmquist, President and CEO of Tempe-based Ensynch. The group also presented two "Chairman's Awards" to Dr. Matt Kim and Doug Goodman, co-founders of the Arizona Nanotechnology Cluster, a non-profit group promoting the state in the field of nanotechnology. All of the awards recognized the technological and business achievements of the firms and individuals.
