Intel Taps Newsgator For RSS Software
Intel has tapped Denver, Colorado-based NewsGator for the firm's RSS reader technology, as part of a Web 2.0 software suite the firm has put together. Intel announced Tuesday that it has launched an integrated business internet suite based on Web 2.0 software from Six Apart, Socialtext, Newsgator, SimpleFeed, and SpikeSource. The new suite, which includes blogging, wiki, RSS, and search tools, was put together by Intel's venture capital arm, Intel Capital. Intel said that the suite will be available through Intel's Software and Solutions Group, and will go under the name SuiteTwo. The software is available on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and Microsoft Windows.
