Idaho Firm Announces Carbon Nanotube Manufacturing Process
Boise, Idaho-based Idaho Space Materials announced today that it has developed what it calls a "revolutionary" nanotube manufacturing process. The firm said that its single-walled carbon nanotubes provide very high production rates. The firm said that its technology is based on a laboratory-scale manufacturing process from the National Aeronautics and Science Administration (NASA). Carbon nanotubes are being used by NASA, nanotechnology research institutions, and in commercial applications for coatings, packaging materials, fuel lines, and other areas.
