Altiris Adds 64-bit, Vista Support

Lindon, Utah-based Altiris has rolled out an upgrade to the firm's deployment software, Altiris Deployment Solution, adding new 64-bit and demonstrating Microsoft Windows Vista support at a conference this week. The firm said that it snew 6.8 version of the software now supports 64-bit Windows, Linux, and Itanium systems, scripted OS installation support for VMware ESX Server 3.0, and other features. Altiris is backed by Technology Crossover Ventures, Dell Ventures, and vSpring.
