AMD Opens Chip Design Center in Fort Collins

Advanced Micro Devices has opened a new microprocessor design facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, the firm said Wednesday, where the firm will design next generation processors. AMD said yesterday that its new Mile Hile Design Center will be headed by Mark Porter. The design center is the fifth design center for AMD, along with other locations in Sunnyvale, CA, Austin, Texas; Boxborough, MA; Bangalore, India, and Dresden, Germany.
