Omniture Slightly Up In First Day of Trading
Orem, Utah-based web analytics provider Omniture was slightly up at the close of its first day of trading Wednesday on the Nasdaq, listed as OMTR, as the company sold 10.7M shares at an offering price of $6.50. The stock slipped in early morning trading, but recovered to close at $6.53 for the day of its IPO debut. Omniture had priced its stock yesterday at $6.50 per share, below its original estimates of $7.50 to $9 a share. Omniture develops web analytics software, used by companies to monitor their web traffic and e-commerce. Omniture competes against companies such as WebTrends, CoreMetrics, WebSideStory, and others for the web analytics business.
