Agilent Buys SynPro

Agilent Technologies has purchased Boulder, Colorado-based SynPro, a contract manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry. Terms were not disclosed. Synpro manufacturers synthetic DNA and RNA molecules for the biotechnology industry. Agilent will hire the 22 employees of SynPro, which was founded in Boulder in 2002, who will join Agilent's New Business Group. Agilent develops test and measurement tools and other product, including products for the life sciences and chemical analysis industries.
