Maffei Named CEO At Liberty Media

Gregory B. Maffei has been appointed to President and CEO of Englewood, Colorado-based Liberty Media, where has has been serving as CEO-Elect since November. John C. Malone, Liberty's Chairman, will step down as CEO, which he had been filling since Robert Bennett's retirement from the position. Liberty Media owns stakes in QVC, Encore, Starz, IAC/InterActive, and Expedia, and is one of the largest holders of News Corp.
