Altiris Gets Security Certification

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Altiris has received certification for the company's SecurityExpressions product through the Center for Internet Security (CIS). The firm said yesterday that its software has completed 10 new benchmarks through the center, across Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux platforms. CIS benchmarks provide best practice security recommendations for software configurations. The Altiris tool is used to measure systems against CIS benchmarks for intrusion protection, system configuration verification, and reporting.
