LeftHand Gets Microsoft Certification
Boulder Colorado-based LeftHand Networks, a provider of iSCSI storage area networking hardware, said yesterday that the firm has completed testing in Microsoft's Exchange Solutions Reviewed Program (ESRP) for storage. The firm said that it was the first iSCSI vendor to complete the tests required for participation. The program provides assurance to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 users that hardware works properly with Microsoft's Exchange Server software. LeftHand said that the solution certified included a HP Proliant DL380 and LeftHand's SAN/iQ software, and that the certification includes a "Designed for Windows" qualification. LeftHand is developing storage area networking products targeted at centralized storage, disaster recovery, and other data management markets. LeftHand is backed by Valhalla Partners, JP Morgan Partners, Vista Ventures, and others.
