Webroot Names Execs

Boulder Colorado-based Webroot has named two new executives today, adding both a new CFO and CTO. Webroot said that it has named Joshua Pace as CFO, and moved former CFO Michael Irwin to the position of COO. It has also named Gerhard Eschelbeck as CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering. Eschelbeck was most recently CTO and VP Engineering of Qualys, and has served at Network Associates and McAfee. Pace was most recently SVP and CFO of Openwave Systems, and has also served as CFO of M2 Networx. As part of the appointment of Eschelbeck to CTO, the company said that it will also open a new Advanced Technology Development Center in Silicon Valley. Webroot is a provider of anti-spyware software targeted at the consumer space.
