Database Marketing Firm Acquires Quris

Merkle, a Maryland-based database marketing agency, said today that it has acquired Denver-based Quris, an email marketing agency owned by Charles Schwab Corp. Terms were not disclosed. Merkle said that it will use Quris to expand its portfolio of direct and interactive marketing solutions to Fortune 1000 customers. Quris provides email marketing for clients such as Blockbuster, Charles Schwab, and Wynn Las Vegas. Quris has 50 employees and was started in 1999.
