Optiv Security, the security solutions integrator based in Denver, says it is expanding its efforts in Canada, and has hired Michael Doucet as executive director, office of the CISO. Doucet was formerly executive director of the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC), and was previously chief technology officer (CTO) and then chief information officer (CIO) with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Optiv also said that Doucte represented the Communications Security Establishment of Canada (CSEC) as CSEC's senior cryptologic liaison officer to the National Security Agency (NSA). Optiv--led by Dan Burns--has been in a major expansion mode for the last few years.
