MBio Diagnostics, a developer of scientific instruments used for clinical diagnostics and sample testing, said on Tuesday that it raised $6M in a Series B funding round. The company said the funding came from both new and existing investors, including strategic partner Heska. Names of those other investors were not named. According to the company, the new funding goes towards its platform, improvements in manufacturing, and scaling up support. MBio Diagnostics is led by CEO Chris Myatt; the company says it is aiming at applications in medical and veterinary diagnostics, food safety testing, and environmental monitoring.
