Scottsdale, Arizona-based JDA Software said on Tuesday that it has competed its acquisition of artificial intelligence software developer Blue Yonder, a developer of AI software for the retail and supply chain. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. The acquisition had originally been announced in July. Blue Yonder was founded in 2008, and is backed by Otto Group and Warburg Pincus. Blue Yonder's software uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide automation and supply chain forecasts to the retail merchandising market. The companies said in July that Blue Yonder's customers include UK supermarket chain WM Morrisons and e-commerce company OTTO.
