Cool Planet Raises $20M More For Biochar Technology
Greenwood Village, Colorado-based Cool Planet, which is developing agricultural technology centered around "biochar", which is used to boost the fertility of soil while also sequestering carbon, has raised $20.3M in a new investment round.The funding was led by AgustÃn Coppel and North Bridge Venture Partners, its two largest existing investors. Cool Planet said the new investment is an extension of its previously announced Series A funding. The funding is the second announced since the firm went through a big recapitalization in November of 2015 when Agustin Coppel and North Bridge Venture Partners acquired the controlling interest int he company from earlier investors.
