Boulder-based
VictorOps, the developer of DevOps software which is led by Todd Vernon, has been acquired by San Francisco-based
Splunk, in a deal worth $120M, Splunk announced this morning. Splunk said the deal is split between cash and Splunk securities, but that "nearly all" of the purchase price consideration will be paid in cash, funded from Splunk's balance sheet. VictorOps is a developer of DevOps incident management software, used by development and DevOps teams to handle issues with their deployments. The acquisition is not the first successful exit for Vernon, who
previously was CEO of Lijit Networks, was co-founder and CTO at Raindance Communications. VictorOps was venture backed by Shea Ventures, Foundry Group and Costanoa Ventures, and
had raised somewhere around $36M in total.
