Lehi, Utah-based Canopy, which develops cloud-based software for tax and accounting professionals to manage their practices, said it has raised $42M in its latest funding round. The funding was led by NEA, and also included Tenaya Capital and Nyca Partners. The company says it has now raised a total of $72M in funding. Canopy's founder and CEO is Kurt Avarell. The company says it now has over 5,000 users, who collectively serve more than 1 million taxpayers.
