Boulder-based bandwidth provider and data center operator
Zayo Group has acquired a new data center in the Washington, D.C., area, the company said late last week, in McLean, Virginia. According to Zayo, the site has 62,000 total square feet, and is its second location in Northern Virginia. The new site, at 1764 Old Meadow Lane, will also be upgraded to three megawatts (MW) of power, according to Zayo. Zayo did not say how much it paid for the data center. McLean, Virginia is a popular location for data centers serving the DC area.
