Testplant said this morning that it has renamed itself
Eggplant, and has acquired the Web Performance Division of NCC Group. Eggplant said the acquisition will help add synthetic and real-user monitoring, load testing and performance analytics to its product suite. NCC Group is based in the United Kingdom. Eggplant said NCC's Web Performance Division had counted such customers as Argos, BMW, Barclays, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Sainsbury's Bank, easyJet, and Auto Trader. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced.
