UQM Gets Win In India
Longmont, Colorado-based UQM Techologies, which develops high efficiency electric motors, generators, and other components for the electric, hybrid, and other transportation markets, says it has been selected by a company in India. According to UQM, it received an initial order from Ashok Leyland for its electric drivedrains, for us in transit bus applications. Financial impact of the deal were not announced. UQM said the purchase order recevied is for 51 of its systems, to be shipped during 2018 for a demonstration program for electric transit buses in India.
