Matt Bencke, the CEO and co-founder of Seattle-based
MightyAI--which is venture backed by Boulder's FOundry Group, has passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, according to MightAI co-founder Daryn Nakhuda. Bencke had written an amazingly open article in Wired in August about his diagnosis in May. He was 45. Bencke leaves behind his wife, Amy, and two daughters, Anna and Elsie. MightyAI is venture backed by Intel Capital, Accenture Ventures, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Foundry Group, Madrona Venture Group, and New Enterprise Associates, and was formerly known as Spare5.
