Westminster, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe is being acquired by MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA), a provider of communications and technology to the commercial and government market, in a deal with an enterprise value of $3.6 billion, the two said last last week. MDA said it will pay $35.00 per share in a combination of cash and stock for DigitalGlobe, which gives DigitalGlobe an enterprise value of $3.6 billion including assumption of $1.2 billion in net debt, or an equity value of approximately $2.4 billion. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2017. DigitalGlobe is a provider of satellite imagery services.
