Sling Aims At Hardware Manufacturers With Cert Effort
Englewood, Colorado-based Sling TV has launched a new effort, targeted at hardware manufacturers, to promote viewing of its content on various streaming platforms. According to Sling, its new "Optimized for Sling TV" program and device certification program will make sure its viewers have an "optimal experience" across different hardware platforms. The first to partners in the program are the AirTV Player and Xiaomi's Mi Box. Sling said it is in the process of signing up additional partners, who must meet a specific set of criteria on how their hardware works with its streaming television service.
