Overstock.com Plans 150 Employees At Abandoned Nuclear Plant Site
Salt Lake City, Utah-based online e-commerce operator Overstock.com is opening a new office at the site of an abandoned nuclear power plant in Washington State, according to Washington Governor Jay Inslee. Overstock.com is planning to hire around 150 people at the location, which it expects to open in May. The new location is located in Grays Harbor, at the site of a half-constructed, abandoned nuclear power plant. The Satsop Nuclear Plant was constructed in the 1970's, but never activated; the nuclear plant has been used in such movies as Transformers: Age of Extinction, and also has a big business park.(Photo of abandoned nuclear power plant courtesy sharkhats @ Flickr, via CC).
