Boulder-based software developer
MakeMusic
said this morning that it has relaunched its product,
SmartMusic
, a web-based music practice product for music students and educators. The software supports the Apple iPad and Google Chromebook, and ties together specific music practice with teacher evaluations. The company said the software costs $399 a year, for up to 3 teachers and up to 50 students. MakeMusic is in Boulder as
a result of a merger
of the company with Boulder music software firm Peaksware back in 2014; the company is backed by LaunchEquity Partners.
