Denver-based cybersecurity services provider Optiv Security is in a deal to be acquired by private equity investor KKR, the two announced today. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. KKR is acquiring a majority stake in Optiv from its existing, private equity investors, led by Blackstone, and also including Investcorp and Sverica. The companies said Blackstone will retain a minority interest in Optiv along with management. Optiv was advised by Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC in the deal, with KKR being advised by Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal advisors and Jefferies LLC. Both Optiv and Blackstone were represented legally by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in the transaction.
