DigitalGlobe has launched its new WorldView-4 satellite into space, after a successful launch this morning from Vandenberg Air Force Base, in California. The satellite had originally been targeted for launch in September, but had to delay the launch due to a wildfire that occurred at Vandenberg AFB, which is in part of California which is in a deep drought. DigitalGlobe said it has acquired signals from the satellite indicating that it is in proper position and health, 45 minutes after its launch.
