Denver-based
Galvanize, the provider of technical education and training, says it wants to see more transparency among the many technical education/coding schools, by rolling out its own statistics. According to Galvanize, it will be releasing information about student job placement rates and verified third-party audits of its data, under what it calls the
Galvanize Standard. Those numbers show that Galvanize graduated 444 students in 2014-20015, with 406 of them employed within six months, and 38 who were not employed within 6 months, which it says is a 91% placement rate for its students. Galvanize said that some technology education schools and boot camps have been "playing fast and loose" with their placement rates.
