Avnet Makes $907M Bid For UK's Premier Farnell
Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet is making a bid to acquire Premier Farnell plc, the UK-based electronics distributor, in a deal worth approximately $907M, the companies said on Thursday. Avnet said it has offered to pay 691 million pounds in cash for Premier Farnell. The bid comes on top of an earlier offer from Datwyler Technical Components UK Limited.
