Mobius Ventures--the venture fund which is a predecessor to Boulder's Foundry Group--may be finally seeing an exit in one of its last, private portfolio firms,
Impinj, after that company filed for an IPO on Thursday. Impinj said it is hoping to raise up to $60M in an offering on the NASDAQ Global Market as PI, in its second try for an IPO. Mobius Ventures owns 9.2 percent of Impinj, before the IPO, and had first invested in Impinj before 2004. Foundry's Brad Feld and Jason Mendelson headed up Mobius Venture Capital and continue to oversee the last of that portfolio. Mobius was active from 1996 thorough 2006. The investments in Impinj came out of the last, Mobius fund, Mobius Technology Ventures VI L.P., as well as some affiliated funds.
