Rise Broadband has made a major boost to its executive ranks, saying today that it has named five new executives to the company's team. The company said it has names Pete Caputo as Chief Information Officer, Jim O'Brien as Sr. VP Customer Operations, Martin Garrity as VP Network Planning, Engineering & Construction, Darrick Zucco as Sr. VP & General Manager, and Kim Blackerby as VP Human Resources. Caputo comes from Level 3; O'Brien comes from EarthLink, Deltacom, and ICG Communications; Garrity comes from MCI, Rhythm Netconnections, British Telecommunications and Crosswalk; Zucco from Cincinnati Bell; Blackerby from Level 3 Communications, tw telecom and Time Warner Cable.
