On-demand, ride service
Uber is getting set to offer up on-demand, helicopter rides between Salt Lake City International Airport and Park City, as part of the upcoming
Sundance Film Festival. According to Airbus, which is partnering with Uber on the experiment, Uber will test the service starting on Thursday, January 21st, as part of Uber's annual presence at the film festival. The helicopter rides from the airport to Park City will reportedly cost around $200. Uber has only been allowed to pick up passengers legally at Salt Lake City International since October 1st, when the airport okayed a one year, pilot program to allow UBERx pickups.
