Apptio has set up a new engineering office in Denver, and is hoping to expand its talent pool by recruiting in the area. The company--which is based in Seattle, Washington--said the new office is being led by Stephen Younge, who previously has served at Microsoft, McKesson and Rally Software. Apptio said Younge, its Senior Director of Engineering, will focus on recruiting local talent to accelerate the development of the company's products. The company said it is "aggressively recruiting" both in Denver as well as its headquarters office. Apptio is venture backed by Janus Capital, The Hillman Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group, Shasta Ventures, and T. Rowe Price.
