Foundry Group has joined in another funding round for
Mapbox, which develops mapping software used by other software and application developers. Mapbox said it has raised $55.25M in a Series B funding, which was led by DFJ Growth, and included prior investor Foundry Group, along with DBL Partners, Thrive Capital, Pritzker Group, Promus Ventures, and Jon Winkelried, the former President of Goldman Sachs. Mapbox is split between San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Foundry Group was the original investor in Mapbox, having invested in the company's Series A funding in 2013.
